How much would a taxi ride from Fort Lauderdale (Hollywood International Airport) to South Beach, Miami cost?
January 16th, 2010 | by admin |I will be visiting this summer and I can’t decide whether to fly into Fort Lauderdale or right to Miami. Flying to Miami is way more expensive.
Try booking a ” GO Airport Shuttle ”..it will cost you around $20 to South Beach.
Taxis are always available on the lower level outside of each baggage claim area. Just check in at the Transportation Podium and the attendant can help you out. This airport is not as large or busy as Miami’s airport, so you should have no problems getting a cab quickly.
The distance from Ft Lauderdale to South Beach is around 30 miles.
The standardized taxi rates are $2.50 for the first 1/6 mile and .40 cents for each additional 1/6 mile, OR per minute of waiting time. There is a $10 minimum fare for trips that begin at the airport.

It’s about a 25 minute drive, depending on traffic, the taxi would be pretty expensive, probably about $60.00.

Fly to Miami ..You gonna save a bundle of bills.
from ft.lauderdale to south beach is $120.00 .
if You take <super shuttle> (a blue van in the first floor) airport to airport is $30.00. and from the Miami Airport to South Beach is $35.00 .totaling $65.00
also, from Miami airport to South Beach You have the Metrobus $2.50 route # 155 ( first floor concourse E .)
