Taking Teenage Problems Seriously

January 30th, 2010 | by admin |

It’s never easy knowing how seriously to take teenage problems. This is the age at which all kids claim that they have “major issues” with their parents as well as their friends and with the world in general, which is cruel to them. Of course, it’s all a bit exaggerated but how do you know when it’s real? How do you know when the grief over a breakup could lead to suicide or when your daughter’s avoidance of food is really anorexia? Those are the scary realities of teenage life nowadays, and parents would do well to take them seriously. Take the time to really listen to your child.
